Material Notes
Grown in the coastal valleys of Madagascar, raffia is a soft, pliable, durable and biodegradable fibre making it a perfect material choice. Raffia fibres are taken from the raffia palm leaf, allowing a sustainable harvest that doesn’t harm the plant, which is left living, continuing to grow and produce. Our highly skilled artisans hand-weave the fibres into unique hats with beautiful colour and natural texture.

Loved it so much I bought a second
This is my second river sand - the first blew out of our beach trolley and by the time I realised, someone had already run away with it! I was so sad and missed it so much, I immediately bought another. Just the best hat all round - comfortable, shady, stylish and hard wearing.

Stunningly gorgeous hat!
Let me say up front, I am NOT a hat person…I have bought a few over the last 10 years or so but have never actually worn them in public. The quality has never really been there and the fit has always seemed off.
I was so excited to receive this gorgeous hat this morning. The fit is perfect (size small), the style spot on and the quality is obvious from the second the box is opened!
