Our beautiful stockist Raine from Maker Studio in Port Douglas is and she has been kind enough to share with us everything that you need to know ahead of the festival, plus she has shared all of the outfit inspiration you need to keep warm and still look amazing for the whole festival, even once you have lost your voice by night 2.
Who is playing at Splendour in the Grass?
Splendour is turning it on for its 21st birthday this year so the entire lineup is
incredible! I’d have to say I’m most pumped for Mumford & Sons, Ocean Alley,
Hilltop Hoods (they always put on the most exhilarating shows), Flume, Lizzo & Cub Sport.
Where is Splendour in the Grass?
Splendour is held at Ngarindjin/North Byron Parklands in Yelgun, NSW, which is
about a 20-minute drive from Byron Bay. To get to and from the festival, you’ll have to choose between three options - private vehicle, festival bus/private shuttle or taxi service (there are no Drop-Off or Pick Up areas). For these, you’ll have to pre-purchase passes on the Splendour in the Grass website.
Pro tip - Make sure to screenshot your passes; the reception out there can
be a bit slow for loading emails.
Where to stay for Splendour in the Grass?
If you’re up for the ultimate festival experience, you can opt for a camping pass
from Thursday - Sunday and choose to bring your own tent/motor home or level up with a glamping experience. This year I’ll be staying in a hotel in Byron and catching the bus to and from the festival every day. (I’m flying down from tropical Far North Queensland so I’m a bit of a sook when it comes to braving the cold in a tent... and I love a clean shower & loo haha).
What are you packing for the festival?
To the festival, I’ll take:
- • A Pony Rider Market Clutch (bags have to be smaller than A4 size)
- • My ID
- • My phone
- • Bank card (the event is cashless and reception is always minimal if you're trying to use Apple Pay)
- • An empty Memo bottle to fill at the free water refill stations
- • My Sony camcorder
- • A Soap Shed lip balm
- • Some make-up for touch-ups
- • A few bandaids (in case my shoes rub from dancing too much).

What festival outfits do you have planned for Splendour?
This year, I’m going to style up my three favourite Calloway hats.
Day One:
Calloway Cream Will & Bear hat, Wrangler Denim 70’s Shag Coat &
Lou Lou Bells Flare jeans, a white crop, Blundstone antique brown heeled boots, Archer Willow watch and Leo sunglasses, S-kin Studio Zodiac & Felicity necklaces.
Day Two:
Calloway Fawn Will & Bear hat, Rollas Eastcoast Flare brown corduroy
overalls, white sneakers, a vintage jacket, Pony Rider Dusty Pink Market Clutch,
Archer Willow watch and Blaire sunglasses.
Day Three:
Calloway Tan Will & Bear hat, Nikki Denim Maxi Boiler Suit, Blundstone antique brown heeled boots, Wrangler Denim 70’s Shag Coat, Pony Rider Waxed Clay Market Clutch and Archer Willow watch and Spencer sunglasses.
