The Burrows | Tasmania | Will & Bear x Blundstone

The Burrows | Tasmania | Will & Bear x Blundstone

The Burrows — @the_burrows_swansea is an 1860's stone cottage that has been sensitively restored to open up the house to expansive views over Freycinet Peninsula. A large living space is the heart of the home with a wood fire at one end, feather sofa and armchairs and a custom made window seat overlooking Great Oyster Bay. Both bedrooms have views over the water and an intimate bath house with clawfoot bath & french doors is the perfect place to watch the sunset reflected over the Hazards.

Location: Swansea, Tasmania
Features: 2 bedroom / 2 bath / sleeps 4

Things to do:

Okay we know we said it before but we will say it again. Don’t leave! Run a bath (or 7) bake a pie, and sit by the fire with some of Tassie's best Gin. If you’re looking to get out, Gala Estate cellar door is just north of Swansea and offers tastings of some of the best wines in Tasmania, we are very partial to their vintage sparkling Rosé and they are warm and friendly folk.
A little further up the road is Melshell Oysters where at specific times of the year you can buy freshly shucked oysters straight from the lease. Swansea is the home of Tasmania's incredible Splendid Gin which you can purchase directly from their cellar door at Springvale Road in Cranbrook.
