Surfer, shaper & all around legend.

Born and raised in the Northern beaches of NSW Joel grew up under the wing of legendary shaper and father Terry Fitzgerald. From a ripe young age Joel spent days at home in the Hot Buttered shaping bay quickly learning the artform of shaping and riding surfboards.

This lifestyle not only saw him travelling the world on the Professional Surfing Tour but is now reflected in every board he shapes, earning the title of an innovative legend in his field. After the pure stoke of meeting Joel, we knew we had to have one of his boards tailored to match our ocean personas.

All we had to do was choose what we wanted, a decision not to take lightly and saw us in countless deliberations with Joel. We finally decided on ‘The Log’ for Will & ‘The Hull’ for Bear. Two new additions to our growing quiver. Being apart of the process and seeing the effort and hours put in to make each board gave us a growing appreciation for what was becoming our new vessels.

With fresh boards in the back, there was only one thing left to do...

Just outside Broken Head. Although small conditions, our new vessels saw us riding smooth into the hours of the day. The anticipation awaits for a solid session in the upcoming days of epic swell!
