Not just a whizz behind the lens, Jess is a full time physiotherapy based in Waikato, NZ! From a young age Jess spent plenty of time in nature pursuing adventure filled activities like hiking, skiing, kayaking and surf lifesaving. These moments outdoors gave her the passion and lust for capturing the special connections to the natural world so that she could then share them in hopes to inspire others to explore outdoors. “This lifestyle will stay with me forever”.
Born and bred in the North Island of NZ, Brook James currently resides in Melbourne with his Partner (and adventure side-kick) Brit. Full time explorer, part time freelance photographer, Brook and Brit have a growing collection of adventure rigs including their beloved VW TS campervan and 88’ Range Rover classic. This gives them the freedom to choose between different adventures: accessing certain terrain that your regular adventure rig can’t and cruising along for plenty of km’s with all your gear in tow. Chasing the places that don’t see much human life is what keeps them curious and on the road, as well as living the metropolitan life of inner city Melbourne most days of the week, it’s pivotal to get outdoors to gain balance.
Meet Emma Kulkarni, an explorer and photographer based in the Southwest, US. When not out travelling and capturing her adventures she is a practicing emergency vet! Her love for the outdoors started when she was living in Colorado studying at uni. Being able to get lost in nature was one of the best forms of stress relief from her busy life! Her desire to capture the beautiful scenes out in nature that she experiences, is what then brought her to photography.

With plenty of locations on the travel list, their Defender never disappoints on the adventure front! Their passion for capturing their travels lies in the permanence and preservation of memories through imagery. The slow paced, minimalist lifestyle they currently live is something they never want to give up!
Picking up a camera 10 years ago, found Stef in awe with the feeling of holding onto a moment for minutes, hours and months after by being able to capture them visually. Having grown up in Florida, Stef had a thirst for a unique and changing landscape, whilst yearning for nature and new places. And whilst Wedding Photography is her primary field, there’s nothing more she loves than squeezing in a trip here and there to satisfy the travel bug and capturing the highlights along the way.
